- The Porsche one-make cup remains with the ADAC GT Masters next year
- Since 2018, most races have been contested as part of the German GT series
- ADAC also partners up with the Porsche Carrera Cup Talent Pool
“We’re delighted to continue our successful alliance with the ADAC GT Masters. As one of the most attractive GT3 series in international motorsport, its professional environment makes it a perfect fit for the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. By extending the contract, we can give our teams planning security early on,” says Bastian Schramm, Director Marketing Porsche Deutschland GmbH. This year, the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and the ADAC have also extended their partnership in supporting talented youngsters: the automobile club is new partner of the Talent Pool, the one-make cup’s support initiative for promising young drivers.
“The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland has been an integral part of the ADAC GT Masters support programme since 2018. Thanks to its action-packed races, the series adds to the appeal of the events significantly. What’s more, many former and current drivers from the ADAC GT Masters came up through the ranks into professional racing via the Porsche Carrera Cup,” says ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss. Since its foundation in 2007, the ADAC GT Masters has evolved into one of the most successful GT3 series and is currently in its 16th season. Several Porsche customer teams tackle this year’s ADAC GT Masters with the 500+PS 911 GT3 R.
There are still two doubleheader events on this year’s Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland calendar. This coming weekend (23 to 25 September), the one-make cup heads into an exciting final stage at the Sachsenring, with the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg hosting the finale from 21 to 23 October. The current championship leader is Germany's Laurin Heinrich (SSR Huber Racing). As a member of Motorsport Team Germany, the Porsche-Junior also receives support from ADAC Stiftung Sport and the DMSB. All four remaining races will run as part of the ADAC GT Masters and are televised live on the German free-TV NITRO.
